Mathematics of Planet Earth 2013
More than 100 scientific societies, universities, research institutes, and organizations all over the world have banded together to dedicate 2013 as a special year for the Mathematics of Planet Earth. PIMS is proud to be a part of this enterprise and to host events associated with it.
Mathematics of Planet Earth 2013 provides a showcase for the essential relevance of mathematics to planetary problems and create a context for the mathematical developments necessary to meet global challenges. The PIMS community has embraced this initiative through a series of workshops, conferences and special focus periods.
